It's been awhile

Sorry its been awhile. But I've been working like there is no tomorrow. Trips have been so so. The weather is starting to get bad and passengers are starting to get upset. It's so stressful sometimes but it's worth it.
My last crew was awesome. Much better than the last. Very positive and fun. When you work with happy (and cute) people it makes life easier. Since we were going in and out of DCA (Washington, DC Regan International). Me and Lucia had a blast. I looove to flirt with my passengers because it makes the day go by faster. Maybe one day I'll meet an awesome man so the flirting can stop. This was a very drama free trip so no fun stories:-(
So work life has been very gossipy (if that's a word). We received Christmas bonuses this year. Which was definitely a blessing. Something I was not expecting with this economy the way it is. And I'll be damned if people are complaining about the amount they received. It just annoys me that people complain about something like this when it is a BONUS. Maybe I'm over exaggerating but in this economy we need to be grateful for every extra dollar you receive.
Anyways, today Keith, Princess and I did a sh*tton of shopping. Almost done with my xmas shopping. We went to Polaris mall and I found an Indian to do my eyebrows! How exciting.
I work with Lucia again tomorrow and McFlyin. We should have fun with our 18 hours in BOS and 23 hours in CLT. We should have fun because were going to go down to little Italy and camingle with the Italians.
I'm getting ready for bed now. But unfortunately we (myself, CC, Princess, Kieth, McFlyin) started having a discussion about the HHS rule that will begin soon. This rule means doctors/pharmacists can deny prescribing or treating someone birth control, abortions, morning after pill because they don't believe in that form of contraceptive and procedures. Now most of you that know me know I am very moderate on issues. And even though I don't agree with abortions I think this is CRAZY. And Keith thinks is okay. This is not what doctors and pharmacists get paid to do. I don't know what this country is turning to but it's really starting to bother me. What do you guys think???

3 Day trip with Salt!!!

Well...where to start. I had a three day trip with Lucia aka Salt and it was awesome. My captain and co captain were a holes but we will get to that later. We had an awesome layover in Wilmington(ILM) and we went to the beach and had a blast! I brought back sand in a bottle of course for awesome memories. I think when I was there I also saw Flipper's cousins.

The next day, you would never guess who was on my plane...EMMITT SMITH. Like NFL all time rusher (I think I phrased that right). Anyways, Salt charged him for his beer. And since I wanted an autograph we sorta had to give him his money back. He smiled at me like "Yeah I think you cute and if I wasn't married I would def date you." Umm.... sorry I got carried away. But I got my autograph and a smile so I'm happy.

Now lets get back to my sh***y pilots. Freakin most negative people I have EVER flew with in my life. Now being that we are in this economy and sooo many pilots and flight attendants don't have jobs I think everyone should be grateful that they have a job no matter what the amount of money they are making. They complained the entire 3 days. I heard that this job sucks about 10 times a day. All that negativity was bringing me down. Being that I'm working on my anger managment that really was not helping. What needs to be known is that people should be grateful for what they have. The economy along with my 401k sucks right now. So everybody needs to stop and think and say to themselves "Wow...I have a job and even if I dont make that much money I at least have a job and things will always get better." Okay people.... stop the complaining.

Now that my rant is done... I'm drinking tonight with my roomies. Tonight, I'm with Princess, Roxy (one of my fav fa's) , Gina ( a fa from Nashvilllle,TN), and Princess. I'm with my man Jack Daniels. The only one that always there for me and treats me right:-) Love ya guys!

Am I the uninsured McCain and Obama were talking about??

Well...today Princess and I set out on a journey to get me some contacts and her some glasses (which she broke about 2 weeks ago and wanted to get fixed but SOMEONE in the house threw them in the trash which she had to dig through to find)...because we are borderline blind. Being that I have this job for two years now and I always pay my monthly insurance dues of $130 I assumed going to the eye doctor wouldn't be a problem. But oh... was I wrong.
First we tried Lenscrafters. They could not find me in their system, which means I would have to pay everything up front and get reimbursed. For some reason that really ticked me off. Being that we pay that much a month I should not have this problem. So Anthem is making it difficult for me to be able to see. I even tried Wally World and they are not a 'provider'. So at the end of the day I did not got get an eye appointment. My contacts are very blurry. So when I called Anthem they acted like they had no clue what in the world I was talking about. For the first time in my adulthood I felt uninsured. Mom, can you put me back on your insurance pllleeaaasseee??

Any who, tonight Princess cooked dinner for me and Jameson* (pilot from Chi town stand up). Hamburger Helper at its best. I actually have to work tomorrow at 0630 (ouch). At least I'll be at a beach somewhere. Speedway, we will see you bright and early for the daily coffee run.

CRASHPAD.....

Well... as I stated I have SEVERAL roommies. The reason for this is I live in a crashpad. A crashpad for you non airline people is when about a hundred er... I mean 10-15 people live in a huge home. Being that all our skeds are different were all never here at the same time. Its sooo many people it'll be hard to give you a background on all of them. I will of course use alias on some because I'm sure they will want to read my lovely blog:-)
Tonight...its just me, Guido*, Princess*, and McFlyin*....do you love the names?? Trust me it reflects the person all the way. Guido is a pilot from Flo-Rida, Princess is a fa also from the land of Oz. And McFlyin...yes McFlyin is...you guessed it is a Pilot! Today were just chillin out drinkin Bud Lights. I have a lot of more people to introduce you too including the house alki. Just give me a few days after everyone is here and after we get everyone introduced the comedy will begin.

We all just came back from Logan's Steakhouse for din din... McFlyin offered to take us out. We assumed he was going to treat us but we were very wrong. You will soon learn that pilots are cheap though they make more money than Joe the Plumber. Well thats all for now... stay tuned.

New Blog

Hello Everyone! I decided to start this blog about my lovely experiences as a flight attendant. I think I tend to laugh a lot so I thought it would be fun to share my daily experiences with the public. To tell you a little bit about myself.... humm... I'm 23 years old and I was born and raised in Toledo, OH. Now I live in Columbus with SEVERAL roomates but we have a blast. I fly all over the United States and I love meeting people though...some people don't love meeting me. I'll begin my blog after I start my next trip. I hope everyone enjoys and I am open to lots of feedback!
